This petite Alexandre harmonium was initially presented to me with the intention of dismantling it for spare reeds and any other parts, as its condition seemed far from salvageable for such a diminutive and seemingly unremarkable instrument.
Yet, as fate would have it, plans took an unexpected turn, and I found myself embarking on a journey of restoration instead! This undertaking proved to be an invaluable opportunity for learning, as it presented me with fresh challenges to conquer. It was also less stressful, due to the fact that that even if the harmonium proved irreparable, the stakes were not overly high.
